Mindfulness & meditation

Mindfulness is simply the practice of noticing what’s here, in your body, your breath and the world around you, with kindness rather than judgement. It can help you settle, feel more grounded and meet life’s ups and downs with a little more steadiness.

I’ve practised and taught mindfulness for many years, including with staff teams at Canterbury Christ Church University. My sessions are warm, gentle and accessible, and there’s no right or wrong way to do it.

Join us on a Tuesday

Thinking about trying it?

“My mind’s too busy to meditate.”
Busy minds are welcome! Mindfulness isn’t about emptying your mind. It’s about noticing what’s there, kindly. Most people find it easier than they expected.

“Do I have to sit cross-legged on the floor?”
Not at all. Sit on a chair, stand, walk or lie down, whatever’s comfortable. In the woods, we’ll often be moving.

“Do I need my camera on for online sessions?”
No. Keep it off if you prefer, and nobody will be asked to share.

“What if something difficult comes up?”
That can happen, and it’s okay. You can open your eyes, stop or step back at any time. Everything is an invitation, never an expectation.

“How much does it cost?”
Tuesday evenings are donation-based, so give what feels right. One-to-one and workplace sessions are on the same terms as my other work. See Fees & FAQs.

“Can I just try it once?”
Of course. Come along to a Tuesday session and see how it feels. No commitment needed.
